B.R. Cohn Merlot 2008
Aromas and flavors of ripe blackberry, cherry and a hint of anise. Big and lush. Nicely styled merlot. - Tasted at winery Feb 2011
Good core of juicy fruitiness, with a definite red bent (black cherry and currant), notes of cherry cola and some notes of earthy spices (sage, cumin) and minerals; vibrant acidity and firm tannins. Well balanced, medium bodied but plenty of complex flavors.Oak expressed as luscious mix of vanilla and coconut early on, more subtle as the wine opened up. Moderate finish. Overall, enjoyed this very much, would definitely buy again.
