B.Moreau Bourgogne Blanc 2009

External Review by Astor Wines & Spirits:

Bernard Moreau is a family domaine based in the village of Mancey, in the northernmost part of the Macon wine region. This Chardonnay exemplifies the distinct minerality that comes from the heavily limestone and red-clay soil along with tangy lemon notes and a nice leesy mouthfeel.

A bigger, woodier style of French Chardonnay, the Moreau is a great stepping stone for California wine drinkers. Bold banana and tropical fruit are overlaid with rich vanilla and toast flavors. Great with roasted chicken or pork.

Rich and creamy texture balanced by a bracing citrus-driven acidity. A noticeable streak of toasty oak runs underneath delicious a deliciously perfumed floral body.
