The 2005 Plateo has a fascinating & intense ruby red color which even reminded me of fresh plums. On the nose I had red currant, vanilla, a little bit of cinnamon and a variety of other aromas. So many aromas. It was incredible! We decanted the wine for 2 hours prior to drinking it. The wine was super dry. Some wineries would even label it "extra dry" if it were a sparkling wine. The finish was surprisingly short which didn't harm the quality of this wine since the short finish made me drink more of this delicious wine! As crazy as it sounds but this would be one of the wines where I could drink a whole bottle. Alcohol by volume is listed at 14.5%. On the plate there were no notes of alcohol whatsoever.
