Azelia Barolo Bricco Fiasco 2005
External Reviews for Azelia Barolo Bricco Fiasco
Offers raisin, coffee and dried flowers on the nose. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins that are velvety and round. Impressive and powerful, with lots of new wood. So velvety. Best after 2012.
The estate’s 2005 Barolo Bricco Fiasco is a gorgeous, muscular wine made in the sinewy style that is the hallmark of this vineyard in Castiglione Falletto. Ripe fruit, menthol, spices and flowers emerge as this structured, powerful Barolo opens up in the glass. There is a ton of inner sweetness here that just needs a few more years in bottle to show the full breadth of the wine’s sheer beauty. Anticipated maturity: 2012–2023.
