Axa-Millesime les Tourelles de Longueville Pauillac 2001

Winemaker's Notes:

Parker review: 'Medium to full-bodied, with notes of tobacco intermixed with espresso roast, chocolate, black cherry, and cassis fruit, this medium to full-bodied wine shows excellent density, good concentration, and a relatively soft finish. It is hardly a profound Pichon Baron, but it looks to have the potential to turn out to be outstanding. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2016.' 89-91/100 pts. (Robert Parker - Wine Advocate - Apr-2003)

Château Pichon-Longueville Baron:
Chateau Pichon-Longueville is made from vines mainly situated on the historical terroir of the property. The wines produced are powerful, rich in tannins, and characterised for being both elegant and muscular. They have an exceptional length in the mouth, and possess a remarkable ageing potential.

Sweet, expansive, fleshy, and medium to full-bodied, with good structure, ripe tannin, and a long, 30-35 second f... Robert Parkers Wine Advocate.
