An elegant smoky nose. The same on the palate with rounded fruit. Ripe cherries balancing supple tannin. Quite accessible now, but will also develop in bottle. (RG)

Vino Nobile is garnet red in colour; its bouquet is delicate and intense, with a slight scent of violet. The taste is dry with a hint of tannic. Serving suggestions: roast and grilled meat, game and mature cheeses.

Sangiovese. Nonpro: This wine offers a basic "Vino Nobile" experience - dusty plum & herbal flavors, much better with food than without. This particular vintage seems a bit leaner and less attractive than previous ones, which I would give ***.
