Really enjoyed this wine, above average spice and above average fruit at the front end. A little heavy and jammy, but not over the top at all. This would pair amazingly well with some ribs.
This is a wonderful wine. This is the first exemplar of Malbec I have tasted. My wife, who does not like dry reds, was wow'd. We paired this wine with lamb chops and baked potatoes. I liked the fruity quality of the wine although it had a more tannic flavor than I expected. This did not detract from the wine. I really enjoyed it.
amazingly, i get a nose of reese's peanut butter cups. even more amazing is the palate reminds me of wild berry gummisavers. the length of the finish indicates that this wine should be drunk immediately. do not hold. but the great upfront fruit makes up for this.
Pretty nice for a budget Malbec. A little tannic. Italian style Malbec. Quite smooth. Dry. Crimson red. Some spice. Med weight.
Fruity, fresh and well balanced.
I did not care for this wine. I found it VERY Jammie. Too tannic, too jammie. I did not find it dry or spicy at all. It was $14.99, about $10 too much as it is now going into the pasta sauce I am about to make.
