Avalon Napa Cabernet Sauvignon 2007
Wine Tasting Notes Our wine has a deep rich ruby color that is clear and bright. Smell for aromas of concentrated black cherry, toasty oak, caramel and cassis. The small addition of Cabernet Franc and Merlot lends additional plum, cherry tobacco, and blueberry nuances to the wine. Oak aging provides notes of nutmeg and cedar box while giving breadth and depth on the palate. The wine explodes with fruit in the mouth yet is balanced by the oak and has a nice lingering finish.
Over-oaked and too sour. Did not like this wine. 75 pts.
Overall very easy to drink. Soft velvety texture. Has long smooth finish leaving a berry-like finish. Vanilla and cream readily apparent.
very light for a cab. sweet and fruity. went well with apple pie. Not very complex, but pleasant. very easy to drink.
A great wine. clear, yet complex. various fruity overtones, not too bitter.not to strong, but it has good body.
I enjoyed the wine overall, but it lacked complexity for me. Deep fruits with a semi-dry finish.
bargain for the price. heavy vanilla, sweet. no need for food - would probably be overwhelmed. will not wow the taste buds but still very good.

Rubingranat.
This California Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits rich, slightly smoky aromas of cherries, boysenberries and chocolate. A minimum of eight months aging in French and American oak barrels softened the wine and imparted subtle notes of vanilla and spice.
Its dark ruby/plum color is followed by sweet aromas of black currants, smoke, damp earth, licorice, and spice. Medium-bodied and pure with silky tannins as well as a surprisingly long finish, it should drink well for 5-8 years.
This brand new wine exhibits aromas of raspberry, blackberry, mint and black cherries. Vanilla and short bread cookie notes from oak aging bring balance and frame the ripe berry flavors. The tannins are fine and chalky, and there is also a mineral/earthy note to the wine that contributes to the multi-layer characteristics. A classic Napa Valley Cab and at a ridiculously fair price!
