Excellent value...maybe the best "quality per dollar" cab around. Smokey dark chocolate, plush tannins...not too harsh thanks to 10% merlot infused in. Tastes like a 30-40 dollar Napa Cab, all for less than 20 bucks. You won't be disappointed!
Little murky on the nose off a pop n' pour, with a good amount of soil and some funk showing along with red fruits. This blew off after 15-20 minutes, and the soil gradually gave way to the red fruits. A pleasant wine, above average but well short of outstanding.
Great Chilean cab! Give this one a try!
a-m-a-z-i-n-g. Probably the best "value" wine I've ever tasted. Perfume, chocolate cherries on the nose, black cherry fruit reduction taste with an espresso finish. Delicious and exciting.
We drink this one at least once a week, as well as some of the other Montes Alpha which are also great deals. The Shiraz especially.
Great wine from Chile, interesting aromas, very solid wine, worth trying

A bold and elegant, well-structured Cabernet with fine flavors of blackberries, leather and a touch of coffee.

89 Pts. Jay Miller- The Wine AdvocateReview: The Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon has considerably more weight than the Merlot. The fruit is darker with a quality nose of cedar, leather, espresso, and blac
Dunkles, sattes Rot. Wunderschöne Fruchtaromen (schwarze Johannisbeeren, Brombeeren), zarte Schokoladennote und jugendliche Tannine, feinsüsser Abgang
Plummy and pleasantly tart, with a nice balance and a clean finish of cherry and spice. Drink now.
From the oldest Cabernet vines in Chile, 80-100 years old. Stunning cassis, cedar, and blackberry perfume. Rich soft and elegant. Layers of complexity on the finish. Super buy!
