New York Times Picks for Pinot Noir "On The Lighter Side"Good bright, full red. Reticent aromas of black cherry, licorice, underbrush, fresh herbs and rose petal; opened nicely with air. Began slightly reduced, with dry-edged cherry and bitter chocolate flavors, but grew sweeter and more pliant with aeration. A nicely structured pinot that stays light on its feet. This builds nicely on the back half, and turned creamier with extended aeration.
This was a poor wine. Very acidic with harsh tannins and a long unpleasant after taste. I am tossing the rest of this bottle. I decanted this bottle for several hours and still have the same opinion.
