Bright red. Fresh red berries and spices on the nose. Firm, slightly hard-edged redcurrant and cherry flavors gain flesh with air and pick up a subtle floral quality. Nicely brisk if a tad firm, with good finishing clarity and bite.
Vibrant and heady, this wine's full-throttle flavors of juicy red fruit and red apple skin have plenty of complex spice. It's not powerfully structured, but it is mouthwatering, the kind of bottle that two people can open and easily finish. For roast quail.
