Au Bon Climat Pinot Noir Santa Ynez Valley Sanford & Benedict Vineyard 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

Theres not much doubt that Jim Clendenen changed Central Coast winemaking forever he is one of a handful who put the area on the world wine map. This wine is from the famed Sanford & Benedict Vineyard in Santa Ynez Valley. For a region known for its cool climate fruit, Santa Rita Hills appellation is "HOT" right now. And global warming has nothing to do with it. This vineyard is situated in an amazing location with the perfect combination of soil, climate and exposure, and sets the standard for the region.Cheers!Dave the Wine Merchant

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
