Au Bon Climat Pinot Noir Santa Ynez Valley Mt. Carmel 2004

Winemaker's Notes:

Note, this wine is not eligible for further discounts! The Wine This is Au Bon Climat's estate pinot noir, exhibiting Winemaker Jim Clendenen's award-winning style with a spicy and complex fragrance that can only be described as come-hither. My tasting memory recalls a New World pinot featuring Asian spices, ripe red fruits (cherry and strawberry) good acidity and a lengthy and pleasant vanilla-oak finish. Relative to his other Pinots, I recall this one as being bigger and deeper, and, as with most ABC wines, is built to cellar if you have the willpower to resist its constant shouts of "Hey you! Go get a corkscrew!" Cheers, Dave Chambers, Wine Merchant Sideways Wine Club

[Rhapsody, Chi] Thick, full bodied pino.t Highly acid, with red fruit, black cherries, tannic. Lacks balance, needs some time to settle down. But good QPR
