Light, bright red. Spicy red berries and cherry on the nose, with hints of underbrush and dried flowers adding complexity. Musky, tightly wound black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors are framed by dusty tannins and given spine by tangy minerality. Sweeter on the finish, which leaves candied cherry and rose notes behind. I really like this wine's nervy character.
Full and rich with flavors of plums and warm spice, this Pinot is a crowd pleaser. The fruit is all Dijon clones from Block Two of the famed Bien Nacido Vineyard. This is classic Santa Barbara Pinot with a price/quality ratio that's truly hard to beat.
