Editorial Reviews for Assmannshäuser Höllenberg Spätburgunder Blanc de Noir Trocken Qualitätswein V. Rheingau
This smells stemmy and composty, all feral with iron and green pepper and even a touch of celery. Fairly nicely balanced, rich and broad with sufficient acidity to perk things up a touch on the palate. There’s some nice fruit here as well, clear with both mineral and very gentle vegetal tones accenting the blueberryish fruit on the mid-palate that becomes more obvious on the finish. The finish is a touch short and tough, though the blueberry fruit and violet nuances do show some aromatic lift. Hopefully time will help this because today it is a bit ordinary at best. 84pts

Deeply flushed in appearance, the wine presents an overt nose of non-fruit elements: leather, buffalo jerky and North African spices. Cranberries, red cherries, plums and potting soil chime in on the palate. The mouthfeel is soft but balanced with an easy-going juiciness. The excellent balance helps the flavors hold on through a medium-finish. 13% abv
Winemaker's Notes: Alcohol: 12.5 % Acidity: 5 g/l RS: 2.8 g/l Content: 0,75 l This is an excellent example of typical Austrian Grüner Veltliner: a dry and fresh white wine with influences of green apples, grapefruit and lemon. All this underlined by the spice of white pepper and ripe acidity
89 points: Wonderfully fragrant, with spiced currant, sweet aromatic wood, and a bit of camphor. The palate is bold, with anise and licorice over roasted cherry. The palate flavors dance around with achoholic energy. It has a good balance with fine tannins that support, and later coat the mouth.
Great with meat and spice. Bold flavors.
Lovely for drinking, plus held its own taste alongside a broccoli salad with a balsamic dressing.
Part of cellars wine club.
Crisp and clean with nice minerality - citrus.

Intensives Granatrot. Komplexes und reiches Aromenspiel in der Nase. Kraftvoll und gut strukturiert im Gaumen. Eine saftige und einladende Cuvée mit reifenFruchtnoten, einem eleganten runden Körper und einem nachhaltigen Abgang.
It stands among some of the finest, most exquisite wines. Its colour ranges from a pale to a strong gold with green shades. The minerals present in the soil, almond, hazelnut, citrus fruits ( such as lemon, grapefruit and pineapple), white fleshed fruits (such as peach), linden, acacia, bread, brioche or even honey are all different aromas that make its bouquet up.Although it is already highly enjoyable during its first years, a Pouilly Fuissé wine can be left in a cellar for a while. This way, it will gain even more elaborated aromas which make the Pouilly Fuissé wine one of the finest Burgundy white wines. This highly aromatic wine will go well with exotic dishes such as couscous, fish tajines, sushi or even sweet and sour prawns. To be served between 10 and 12°C. - Winery
With a garnet-brick color; the wine shows complex aromas of cloves, cinnamon and pepper with plum jam, raisins and tar notes. On the palate, the wine has a dry, warm, full-bodied character, austere from its prominent acidity yet harmonious, with an elegant finish, and roasted hazelnut and licorice traces. - Winery
This has an incredible nose of chocolate and berries that turns to sweet tobacco and China tea leaves. Full-bodied, with a beautiful softness and silkiness that makes you want to keep tasting it. Goes on and on. 84 percent Merlot, 8 percent Cabernet Franc and 8 percent Cabernet Sauvignon.
Domaine Andézon Côtes du Rhône Villages "La Granacha Signargues" 2009 750ML
The 2009 Xiloca is 100% Garnacha with a very fragrant perfume of earthy minerality and black cherries. This tasty, friendly, value-priced offering has ample fruit as well as a sense of elegance. Drink it over the next 3-4 years.
Bright garnet with brick red highlights in the glass; concentrated aromas of dried flowers, violet and wild rose to the fore, spices and hints of blackberry jam. Dry, warm, full- flavored palate with an elegant finish of ripe plum and lingering bitter almond. - Winemaker Casimiro Maule
The Errazuriz Estate was founded in 1870 when Don Maximiano Errazuriz planted his first vineyards at Panquehue in the Aconcagua Valley - 100km North of the capital. Recognising that this valley, with its cool, rainy winters, hot, dry summers and moist Pacific Ocean breezes, was ideal for growing grapes, Don Maximiano sent for the finest clones from France and with tenacity and perseverance transformed this barren land into a world class vineyard.Today, the tradition of quality lives on with Don Maximiano's descendant Eduardo Chadwick. Eduardo is the fifth generation of his family to be involved in the wine business. Deep violet-red in colour, this Carmenère shows in the nose spicy and fruity characters along with soft toasted hints from its oak ageing. In the mouth displays a smooth attack with round, firm tannins of silky texture, complemented by flavours of ripe red and black fruit along with a balanced acidity that bring a pleasant finish. Carmenère is a very versatile red, easily paired with beef, rabbit, venison, duck and stewed pork. For vegetables opt for olives, piquillo peppers, sweet potatoes, mushrooms and fennel.
