Askaneli Brothers Saperavi 2013

Member Review by ApelsecS:

obviously overpriced by year but wine is good, for me it's a ~15$ wine. As usual, saperavi is very bright and powerful grape. this one is dry with good balance and silky tannins. Nose: dark cherry, french plum, wild strawberry. Taste: classic plumy saperavi with vanilla comes first and berberis candy comes later. Berberis taste is a very independent second taste - there is a notable gap between two tastes. very interesting! 2013 is too young of cause, try it later.
