Asara Cabernet Sauvignon 2000

External Review by WineExpress.com:

Rated Four Stars by SA wine expert John Platter. Cabernet Sauvignon grown at Asara Estate over many decades, has adapted extremely well to the micro-climates. Cab is planted on a variety of slopes (South-South-East, East-South-East) and altitudes (130 to 195 meters above sea-level). As a result, Asara winemakers are in a position to select several components for blending and to create the perfect balance and structure. This wine is derived from gapes grown on three different sites on the Estate. This mouthfilling Cabs aged 24 months in French oak barrels before bottling. Now, after several years of bottle age it is soft as silk and bursting with a potpourri of cherry and berry flavors.
