What to Expect

Viognier is one of the great grapes of France's Rhone Valley. It is an extremely aromatic variety redolent of ripe peaches and wild flowers. It is frequently used to add aromatic complexity to blended wines but on its own, delivers a rich, soft wine with high alcohol and deep flavors of honey, peach, apricot and tangerine.

Winemakers Notes

Our Viognier is a combination of warm weather fruit obtained from Crawford Vineyard in Prosser, WA and cool weather fruit from Le Beau Vineyard in Sherwood, OR. This combination brings forward the classic floral aroma of the Viognier grape as well as the light, grassy notes that lend it a general freshness. Despite its very low residual sugar of 0.45, the higher alcohol helps maintain just the right amount of "sweetness". A luscious mouth-feel and notes of pear, melon and citrus make this a very enjoyable wine to drink.
