Artesa Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2004
Wonderful ripe cherry, cassis and blackberry fruit is complimented with white pepper, cedar, clove, rosemary and dark chocolate aromas and flavors. An elegant wine with smooth, supple tannins, perfect acid balance and a long, lingering finish. The fruit concentration and the seamless fullness of this wine make it enjoyable now, but the ample tannin structure of this wine will allow it to improve for a decade or more.
Enjoyable - Good Value Wine.
92 pts - Nose with red licorice, cherries, sourdough. Firm tannic character, full-bodied. Cinnamon, green pepper, cedar on palate, finishing with a tinge of banana. Very smooth.

Wine Tasting NotesThe deep intense color of this wine portends the pleasure to follow. Intense ripe cassis and blackberry fruit is enveloped in roasted coffee, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, vanilla, and leather. The ample tannins are silky smooth and mouth filling, making the wine rich from start to lingering finish. The balance of tannins and acid, with the intensely extracted core fruit, will enable this wine to last 10 20 years.
