A blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, this wine is a big one! Big, jammy, red fruits layered with peppery spice. Chewy tannins finish off this full-bodied wine. Best with food: a summer steak, maybe slow-cooked BBQ ribs, or try it with a hearty pasta dinner. Meat sauce is a must with this one. Food pairing: red meats Flavor type: fruit-forward Body type: medium-full Finish: rich

Wowzers what a great buy! I loved this Meritage and it comes right from Lockport New York! A blend of Cabernet Franc Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot this is a big wine. Big jammy red fruits layered with peppery spice. Chewy tannins finish off this full-bodied wine. Best with food: a summer steak maybe slow-cooked; BBQ ribs; or try it with a hearty pasta dinner — meat sauce is a must here. Great on its own for veg-heads like myself!

A composition of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Franc, barrel aged in French and American oak for 22 months. Cherry and vanilla notes run through this medium weight, modestly smoky red. The Cabernet Franc adds spiciness to the fruit of the Merlot, making this a perfect wine for barbecue, pasta or pizza.
