What to Expect

Pinot Noir: Responsible for some of the greatest wines on earth - the exhausted red wines of France's Burgundy region. Pinot Noir is a notoriously fickle grape that expresses its origins like no other. It's a vine that needs to struggle to produce great wines but when it does the depth of flavors that range from cherry to cola can be explosive and the wines' bright acidity and gentle tannins make them approachable and widely appealing,

Editorial Reviews

From magnum this was effusively perfumed with sweet baking spices, flowers and crushed juniper berries. there were deep notes of mint and black cherry fruit. This remains youthful in the mouth with a bit of unforgiving astringency but is deeply flavored and layered if a bit short. Pretty well balanced and with fine power this may just require an additional 5 years or so in this format. 91pts

Reviews

From magnum. Candied fruit on the nose. The wine is lean and balanced with a lot of acidity tempered by nice black cherry notes.

Nice powdered light red fruit nose with a hint of darker fruit creeping in. But the palate is full of red fruit -- cranberries and a lot of acidity. It's very good but I would say it's slightly more acidic than I would like. Perhaps give it a few more years.
