Arista Longbow Pinot Russian River Valley 2008

Member Review by Tyler Worth:

90 points. This wine smells completely like a coffee shop. It’s got tons of fresh ground coffee beans, vanilla, chocolate, and caramel, and cinnamon aromas going on. There is also a core of cherry preserves, a little brown butter, and a toasty quality that leads into some soil tones with a good spin in the glass. It’s very soft and smooth on the palate, with floral notes and cherry and berry tones at the beginning. There is some of that coffee shop, mocha and vanilla I detected on the nose, and a somewhat dried orange peel finish. This is a very nicely structured wine, and it comes across very fresh and ripe. It’s well balanced and smooth, and is a very enjoyable experience.
