Ariel Merlot Non-Alcohol 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

VARIETAL Aril 2007 Chardonnay grapes are carefully chosen from a variety of regions in California, with vineyards selected for Chardonnay exhibiting an emphasis on tropical fruit aromas. WINEMAKING Aril Chardonnay is fermented cold at 50F (10C) in both stainless steel cooperage and small French oak barrels to dryness. Once fermentation is completed, the wine is blended and receives additional oak aging. Just prior to bottling, the alcohol is gently removed by cold filtration.WINEMAKER NOTES Aril Chardonnay has a distinctive combination of buttery apple and butterscotch characteristics, combined with a toasty French oak bouquet, and should continue to develop complexity as it ages. It can be enjoyed immediately, or held three to five years before enjoying. Enjoy Aril Chardonnay with richer seafood, veal, duck and cream pasta dishes.Ethanol: Varietal Profile: > 100% Chardonnay Serving Size: 100 ml = 3.38 ounces Calories/Serving: approximately 21 Cases Produced: 25,000

Although much has changed for the Trincheros and Sutter Home, the motto and philosophy originated by their father more than a half-century ago remains the same: "A great product for a fair price." After resurrecting Sutter Home in 1948, the Trincheros struggled to keep the family winery afloat, imbuing it with the values of hard work, ingenuity, humility and integrity that have characterized them ever since. Each member of the family played a vital role in keeping the business running: Mother Mary Trinchero kept the books, younger children Vera and Roger helped on the bottling line, while older brother Bob assisted his dad, Mario, and uncle John in cleaning out tanks and barrels. The family's cohesion kept Sutter Home together and eventually made it the success it is today. With its creation of White Zinfandel in the early 1970s and the introduction of high-quality, affordably priced varietal wines during the 1980s and '90s, Sutter Home became a household name and the second largest, independent family-run winery in the U.S. Read less
Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
