Tasting Notes:
The aromas are deep and spicy with cherry, spices and a hint of rich vanilla creme. The flavor is mouth filling and extra silky, with a concentrated and succulent finish. Black cherry blends with blueberry-like fruit while retaining a beautifully balanced texture between tannin and fruit sweetness. Look for cedar wood and tamarind spice entwined with rich fruit.

- Willamette Valley and Russian River are my new favorites. Maybe because they are the dernier cri in restaurants here in DC so I have tried them more. They are amazing and exciting, although I am still not convinced that the price inflation of wines from this region is justified. Is a $400 bottle of Russian River really worth the same as a Margaux? In any case, I just tried a Pinot Noir blend at Proof DC that is to die for and I am trying to track down the name of that bottle. When I do find it, I am buying a case.
