Aromatic nose, peach and citrus, which was consistent with the taste. Tasted lemon and herbs. Found this perfectly balanced and perfect with my "merluzzo" dish! Great value for a solid balanced flavorful white wine.

Pretty, straw color. Fruity/floral nose. Very refreshing on the palate. Seems to be some slight effervescence. Some citrus flavor. Nice tartness. Some minerally bitterness on the back of the palate. US$12.99 at the Wine Club in Santa Ana.

3/5/13 Fairly aromatic..lemon cream, tropical fruit (pineapple, banana), antiseptic, conventional grocery store edible multicolored and white flowers. Tastes like pear, 1% milk consistency (would be higher but has light but fresh acidity). Banana leaf tea, semi old almond, honestly kind of flabby. Good fresh fruit front to mid palate but no residual sugar. Powdered lemonade concentrate very watered down and slightly sweetened with honey background flavors. I say 86+ but very easy appeal. Would be nice with spicy food no question or as a quaff able semi rich food(s) wine.

Costamolino is straw yellow in color with green highlights and an intense yet delicate bouquet that displays distinct characteristics of the variety. Supple aromas of citrus, pineapple, tropical fruits and honey are wonderfully supported by a zesty acidity. Delicate and pleasantly refreshing on the palate, Costamolino is the wine of choice for many dishes, from fish antipasti and pastas to vegetables terrine, salads, white meat casseroles, and risotto. Delicious with Asian food and sushi.

Brilliantly crisp and clean, the Argiolas Costamolino is perfect for fans of Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc. Lemon zest, starfruit and light herb notes. Great as a starter-cocktail wine, as well as an excellent match for fish or vegetarian dishes.

The 2011 Vermentino di Sardegna Costamolino is a bit brighter than the Nuragus. Lemon, peaches, crushed rocks and flowers find a good element of focus and length in this beautifully delineated, vibrant white. Anticipated maturity: 2013–2014.

Winemaker's Notes:

a clean, bright nose of citrus, fresh pear, and hints of herb and spice ). In the mouth the same citrusy flavors are experienced, as well as some grassy/herbal, mineral touches. the finish is extremely clean, flavorful, full of fruit and perfectly balanced. This mineral component is likely from the granite-rich soil of Sardinia, and makes a perfect complement to shellfish -- especially oysters. You can also match this wine successfully with simply prepared white fish, salads, pork and chicken.
