Consistent enjoyment. A great Brunello and Rosso that thrives in F&B Wine venues. I have not been let down by ARGIANO. Viva Argiano. This wine does not disappoint in the right setting.

Underbrush, savory herb, leather and dark-skinned fruit aromas mingle in the glass. The firm, structured palate delivers mature plum, black cherry, vanilla, licorice and a confectionary note alongside assertive tannins. Drink 2018–2028.

Aged for 24 months in oak, the gorgeous 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is a brooding, dark wine with great aromatic purity. The fruit tones are rich and penetrating, spanning from plum, prune and cassis to spice cake, tar and black licorice. The wine’s concentration is luscious and opulent. The oak element imparts lasting aromas of spice, toast and caramel but the wine already shows a good degree of integration that should help it continue its bottle evolution. Hold this wine until 2017.

The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino jumps from the glass with notable energy and precision. Grilled herbs, smoke, tobacco, rose petal and mint are all beautifully delineated in the glass. Distinctly savory and mineral notes add complexity to the expressive, stone-inflected fruit in a chiseled, pulsating Brunello endowed with considerable energy. The tannins need time to soften, but Argiano’s 2010 is unquestionably a winner.

Good full medium red. Sexy aromas and flavors of plum, mocha, underbrush, spices and tobacco, with a lavender topnote. Smoky, sweet and fine-grained; not yet especially complex but shows lush, sweet, velour-like fruit, noteworthy depth, and good energy for the year. The sappy, smoky finish features some enticing oak spices. Has plenty of tannins for mid-term aging but this is already accessible.

The 2007 Brunello di Montalcino is rich, deep and resonant. It shows fabulous depth and richness, with seemingly endless layers of fruit that caress the palate. Dark red cherries, savory herbs, tobacco and licorice linger on the textured, creamy finish. This is another terrific effort from Argiano. Anticipated maturity: 2014–2027.

92 points - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate "The 2004 Brunello di Montalcino is the first Brunello oenologist Hans Vinding-Diers made from start to finish at Argiano, and it represents a significant stylistic shift in direction. Among the changes Vinding-Diers instituted are lower temperatures in fermentation, which have given his wines gorgeous, detailed aromatics as well as notable textural elegance. The medium-bodied 2004 Brunello di Montalcino possesses perfumed layers of sweet ripe fruit that flow gracefully onto the palate, where sweet notes of tobacco, leather and spices come to life, adding further complexity. Finessed tannins round out this beautiful Brunello that is more about elegance rather than sheer power alone. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2019." June 2009 94 points - Wine Spectator "Delivers raisins, blackberries and roses on the nose. Full-bodied, with a soft and silky tannin structure and a long and delicious finish. This is the best Brunello ever from here. Best from 2010 through 2016. 10,300 cases made." JS -May 2009

The 2006 Brunello di Montalcino is a gorgeous wine laced with red cherries, tobacco, cedar and underbrush, all supported by a firm tannic spine. Argiano's 2006 Brunello shows beautiful inner perfume and the structure to develop positively for a numbe... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.
