Argento Malbec 2008
Winemaker's Notes:
Since its launch in 1999, Argento has quickly become the leading range of wines from Argentina in the UK and represents an exciting new era in Argentine winemaking. With its high altitude vineyards, desert-like climate and natural irrigation from the Andean mountain melt water run-off, the Mendoza region is capable of producing world class fruit. The winemaking team uses the latest in cellar technology to craft wines that meet the highest quality standards and show the best characteristics of the unique vine growing conditions. This Tarquino Malbec has intense aromas of black stone fruit mingled with chocolate and sweet spice from gentle oak ageing. Blackberry and blackcurrant flavours lead to a long finish complemented by soft tannins.

This superb Malbec is deep purple in colour and offers powerful aromasof black stone fruit and floral notes. Juicy flavours of plum and blackberry, with a touch of chocolate and vanilla from oak ageing, lead into a longlingering finish with ripe velvety tannins.

Argento Malbec 2008 is superb and is deep dark violet in color and offers powerful aromas of blackstone fruit and notes of chocolate. Blackberry and black currant fruit flavors with a touch of sweet spice lead into a long lingering finish with ripe velvety tannins.

The aroma is slightly offensive... strong vinegar. Color is dark and the wine is leggy. Body is soft and spicy with a strong apple taste in front. It is highly recommended to decant this wine in order to burn off some of that vinegar flavor.
