Areo Malbec 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

This sexy and unusual Malbec hails from the remote region of Neuquén in the Argentine portion of Patagonia. Malbec takes on a very distinct character in the extreme landscape of Patagonia and you'll see much more of an Old World, Bordeaux-style expression on this wine than what you'll get with Malbecs from Mendoza. This is sinuous, densely layered juice that boasts earthy notes of leather and tar as well as succulent black and blue fruit. Nice solid grip on the finish.

Well structured with a rich feel on the palate. Medium bodied with lots of black fruit, earth, and tar.

It was only good for the drain. I wonder if I got a bad bottle. It tasted dry and sandy. It was truly awful.
