Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

One of the most intriguing, complex wines I've had. Flavors of black cherry, oak & green olive dominate. A little tart in the beginning, but opened up nicely. Paired very well with the Cioppino we had for lunch.

Winemaker's Notes:

This Classic Sangiovese features up front aromas of dried peaches and apricots, while the undertones of strawberries and cherries give it a rich and well balanced mouth feel. The selected grapes used in this wine were grown at an altitude of 1500 feet on Atlas Peak road. The blend consists of 85% Sangiovese and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. The vinification was performed in 225 liter French oak barrels, with an additional 2 years aging in the oak and 2 years in the bottle. The result is a wine with a smooth mouth feel and a long finish.
