First time I am having this grape. Smells of dark berries, blackberry in particular not spicy, fruity but not jam-like. It is simple straightforward wine with obvious tannins.
Fruity, rich and and drinkable red that goes well with red meats and some spicy dishes. Tannins are not overpowering. Originally tasted in Canada but found it as a great value from Trader Joes.
Very nice black cherry and subtle oak on the nose. Sweet raisin in the mouth, very approachable. Light weight and medium finish. A real pleaser without being too jammy.
Two and a half glasses
An average drinkab;e red wine. Good with pizza.
Great value, though not quite as good as the La Loggia Barbera d'Alba at Trader Joe's.
