Food Pairings for Archèe Salento IGT Primitivo/Negroamaro
Good. A bit dry for my taste. Like blackberries.
Have not had this wine in many years! Remembered that I liked it....and found it again! Nice wine with lots of cherry up front on the nose. Soft tannins and a nice balanced medium body with good structure. Just a great wine for around $25. Wonderful floral notes on the nose! But not easy to find! Enjoy! Cheers!
Great Value 5 glasses
Mourvedre, Grenache. Mineral and raspberry aromas to this dark wine. Frais de bois and raspberry flavors. Very nice, rich mouthfeel and a concentration of flavors in the midpalate. Chalky, stony finish.
Great perfume, with wonderful fruit and stoniness underneath. Great acidity, too. Honey, apples, melon. Wonderful food wine.
Melon, white flowers, and mandarin peel aromas and flavors. Nice body.
Very attractive dark crimson color. Aromas of dark red fruit, coffee, spice, and earth. Coffee and tobacco were present on the palate, but there was also the taste of red cherry, blackberry, red pepper, and vanilla. The wine is full and smooth in the mouth. The finish is long and satisfying.

Thorn-Clarke is such a talented producer! This lovely Chardonnay is very refined and unoaked in style. On the nose there are notes of meyer lemon and white peach. The flavors of lemon, peach and vanilla are reflected on the palate, as well. This wine is fresh, clean and crisp with a lingering finish. It would pair nicely with ceviche, sushi or sashimi.
The aromatics on this expressive Argentine white will absolutely knock your socks off! Intensely floral with gardenia, orange blossom and jasmine notes overlaid with peach, almond and pear fruit flavors. Dry but fruity, the Los Cowboys will pair beautifully with Asian or Mexican cuisine, risotto or salad, as well as many chicken and pork dishes. Like sucking on pear drops! Broaden your horizons and introduce yourself to a light and crisp wine that can become your "house wine" for entertaining. Wonderful as an aperitif with brie and green apples or with chilled shrimp in a mango infused cocktail sauce.
This is cooler and more restrained than its Chambolle and Morey villages counterparts with distinct notes of underbrush humus and plenty of pungent earth on the airy wild red and dark berry fruit aromas. The attractively rich medium-bodied flavors possess an abundance of dry extract and a relatively refined mouth feel thanks to the fine-grained tannins all wrapped in a firm and moderately austere finish. While qualitatively similar each of the three villages wines has its own unique personality and all of them are recommended. Drink: 2017+ - Comments: Outstanding Burghound.
No other variety represents the region of Lodi like Zinfandel. Over 100 years ago European settlers believed it to be the best fit for the climate and soils and their keen insight paid off. Our Zinfandel "The Chelonian" is 100% Zinfandel and has a lovely spicy, cherry like bouquet and is bursting with sweet, berry flavors. There are also delicious overtones of black currant and plums, with a welcoming finish of vanilla and cinnamon toast. The wine is also very elegant and would be perfect with any spicy foods, game or beef. - WineryOrigin/LocationOur 100% Zinfandel comes from a beautifully maintained sustainably farmed vineyard in Lodi which is near Sacramento.WinemakingGravity flow handling is used where the fruit is destemmed (but not crushed) and whole cluster fermentation maximizes flavor and color extractions. Extended maceration was used to add depth, structure, complexity and to stabilize the unique color of Zinfandel. To fill in the mid-palate and add softness th...
