Arbios Praxis Cellars Praxis Lagrein 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

During a trip to the Italian Alps, Bill became fascinated by this wine that he had never previously tasted. We first tried Lagrein while on a hunt to see the remains of Utzi, the Alpine Ice Man. (Susan was an archaeologist in her earlier life). Pronounced Lah-GRAYHN, these grapes have been grown in Northern Italy for over 300 years. In the spirit of Praxis where Bill gets to play a little with winemaking, we decided to make our own. We found a vineyard of American Lagrein on the Central Coast.

With the creation of Arbios Cellars in 1993 and Praxis Cellars in 2000, his dream of expressing his vision and creating something lasting was realized.
