User Reviews for Araujo Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Eisele Vineyard

Winemaker's Notes:

96-98 points Robert Parker: The 2007 is overwhelmed in concentration, complexity and potential by the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard. This is a great wine displaying an opaque purple color along with abundant aromas of black currants, incense, graphite and flowers, an opulent texture, full-bodied intensity and more layers, texture and density than the 2007. The 2008 possesses a beautifully sweet mid-palate and ripe, velvety tannins. This may be the finest Araujo Eisele Cabernet produced since their trifecta of 2005, 2002 and 2001. Long and rich, it is capable of 25-30 years of aging and appears to be one of the wines of the vintage. (Dec 2010)

Tasting Notes:

This wine exhibits the distinctive Eisele Vineyard flavors of cassis, dark chocolate, toffee and cedar, with nuances of spice and a long mineral finish. Winemaker Francoise Peschon describes the wine as full bodied, concentrated, and multi-layered with marvelous extraction and suppleness.
