Arabella Shiraz Western Cape South Africa 2014

Member Review by puhnner:

A Naked Wines selection - the 2013 was recommended by 'the Reverse Wine Snob' Very, very easy drinking, an everyday, dependable, but not terribly complex Shiraz. Opens with notes and scents of ripe plum and cherry and quickly goes to oak/chocolate/mocha/leather - seemed almost a big Pinot Noir rather than a Shiraz, but there is enough spice and pepper there. Medium dry, though not much acidity or tannin, with a long finish. Cannot imagine this as anything more than an every day wine, especially for grilling. Little possibility for or reason to age, but then, why should you? This one is already ready. At the almost 60% off Retail Angels' price, it is a steal, though at the list of $26.99 a bit much.
