Apothic Red Winemakers Blend 2009
This is no Tuesday night wine... but for the price it could be a wine for any night of the week! Smells great and tastes awsome. I'd recommend this especially to those Malbec drinkers out there.... cheers!
Wonderful wine for the U10 crowd. The hint of chocolate hit me right out of the body. Great blend of berry that hits the spot for me. It was a wine that I could drink on its own or also had some cheese and meat appetizers that worked really well. Smooth to the taste with a decent finish
The nose showed fruit cake in brandy with brown sugar, and spicy blue and red fruits. On the palate, it was soft and sweet with flavors of mixed berries, cherry, lots of vanilla and maple that lasts well into the finish along with chocolate and cinnamon. Yes, it's a fruit bomb thats meant to impress with rich, ripe flavors. However, it's also very juicy, with a good balance of acidity, and with a respectable 13.1% alcohol. In the end, it's a great wine to pour at parties, bbq's and events.
Velvety feel on the tongue; sweet (but slightly strong) smell when first opened, kind of like a bitter vanilla. The taste is strong for anyone who prefers sweeter wines, but if you like the bitterness of espresso you'll pick up on the coffee beans in the flavor and enjoy it.
Fruit bomb, but fun.
