Have purchased bottle after bottle of this wine! My boyfriend and I really enjoy it, especially for the chocolatey mid-palette and finish. It's a great bottle, and a great value!
this is fabulous. smooth, fruity but not sweet, complex but not heavy. great price. i've found a new favorite.
Really nice blend and frankly, incredibly good for the price. Mix of Syrah, Zin, and Merlot.
Was fortunate to be a guest at a party where someone brought this wine for all of us. A very interesting and distinct blend--it was one of those wines that was immediately pleasing, and not like much that I had tried before (that is saying quite a bit). Robust, smooth and a huge bargain at around $10. Better than many $30 bottles I've had.
Another good blend - a bit more acidic than I prefer but nonetheless a great companion for heavy pasta or seasoned cuts of red meat.
Bought a case for $8 a bottle and "really liked it ". Then this year, I got a case of the 2008, which I didn't like nearly as well. Patti scored the '07 in the lower 90's - and even with a double-helping of QPR-bias, I can't quite get there, but I will go as far to say that the 2007 is my favorite red for under $8.01 a bottle! Frankly, now that I think about it more, I'm worried about the space that the 2008 are taking up in the cooler. I'd like to think that the 2007 has a year head-start in bottle ageing and in 12 months the 2008 will have improved - but in my experience, that's not how it works: good ones might get better, but bad ones don't. As Herman Muenster would say, "Darn, darn, darn, darn, darn."
I truly could not believe that this wine came from the supermarket! I will be keeping at least one bottle of this in house at all times. Enjoyable with or without food/cheese.
