Antu Ninquen Syrah 2010

External Review by Palm Bay International:

/ A ripe, juicy style, with lots of blackberry, briar and sweet spice notes that push through the medium-weight, nicely structured finish, where black tea and fruit echo.

/ A juicy, plush, forward style, with lots of blackberry and black cherry fruit laced with mocha, mineral and briar notes. Drink now through 2008.

Antu Ninquen Syrah 2006 - 88+ Points, eRobertParker.com/ The 2006 Syrah Antu Ninquén, sourced from a high elevation vineyard, was bottled without fining or filtration. Purple-colored, the nose offers up cedar, wood smoke, scorched earth and blueberry aromas that jump from the glass. On the palate, it has attractive, savory flavors but is slightly compressed and tight.

/ Vina Montgras began operations in 1992 in the Colchagua Valley, one of Chile's best winemaking regions southwest of Santiago. Vineyard management and winemaking are state-of-the-art. This is a beautiful wine that shows what a top Chilean producer can do with Syrah! Opaque in color and beautifully concentrated, this bottling boasts a ripe nose of dried dark fruit, plum, and leather. The lush attack is rich and soft with dark chocolate and black fruit flavors. The tannins are round and integrated. This high quality wine is also reasonably priced.
