Antonin Rodet Gamay-Pinot Noir Blend Beaujolais Nouveau 2006

Winemaker's Notes:

The grapes at Château de Mercey are hand harvested and then de-stemmed. The alcoholic fermentation is carried out in temperature controlled open vats. The cap is punched down twice a day during the alcoholic fermentation. The wine is matured 30% in oak barrels, 70% in stainless steel vats. The wine is a clear garnet red colour. The nose evokes Morello cherry and floral notes. The palate is full of delicious flavours of cherry and plum. It has a satiny texture with fine balanced tannins on the finish.

Sold by some of the most prestigious wine shops, they then find themselves on the tables of connoisseurs. We are flattered by their confidence and we strive to remain worthy. Read less
