Food Pairings for Anton Bauer Rosé Blend Trocken Anton Bauer
Thank you Anton Bauer for making amazing wines. I'm so happy with the new vintage. Gruner Veltliner is such a versatile grape. Great with vegetarian cuisine. Also anything spicy like Thai food. Apples and citrus on the nose and a crisp acidity on the palate. This is one of my summer favorites!
Anton Bauer produces his wines in the town of Feuersbrunn (Neufang 42) in the Wagram wine growing area in Lower Austria. Bauer is the fourth generation to work here, and took over the business from his father in 1993. At the time, the estate had 5 hectares of vineyards. The estate is committed to maintaining sustainable vineyard practices, with organic fertilisers being used, and organic soil care being implemented. The vineyards have now expanded to cover 11 hectares in the best sites of Wagram. 60% of the vineyard is planted to white varieties - Grüner Veltliner, Welschrielsing, Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay, while the remaining encompasses red varieties - Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Blauburgunder. Anton Bauer is a specialist in Grüner Veltliner, and it is these wines above all others that have given him an international reputation. The Grüner Veltliner Grande Reserve is one of several premium wines that are now exported around the world - enhancing still further the reputation of their creator Anton Bauer.
