This wine has an interesting, almost "electric" ruby red color, moderately high clarity.

Big-time pine forest notes on the nose. There is definitely a "dark green" theme in the aroma. Wilted greens, sweet spices, some mulberry.

The fruit is a little muted in the mouth, big tannins and pine forest dominate the mouth. Don't know the blend breakdown, but I'm guessing Cabernet Sauvignon is a major player.

3.5 of 5 is my score, and at $18 I'm not endorsing a buy.

Super-Tuscan style at a modest price, this wine is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. You can taste the French grapes in the deeper, plush flavors and aromas of plum and cassis. There is spice and herbal notes as well with a bright aftertaste. Good with food.

Wine Tasting NotesIntense ruby red color. Fruity hints on the nose blend well with the toasty, chocolate and vanilla notes from ageing in wood. A complex, harmonious and well-structured wine with smooth tannins and persistant fruity hints.
