On the rich side with an almost viscous texture, this has benefitted from 2 years in the cellar. The pear and bitter orange pith fruit is well balanced and framed by gentle suggestions of mineral and almond milk. This is a big wine that doesn’t lack for alcohol and may be a bit too soft for some palates but it does offer an interesting take on the style and would be a great match for a creamy, rich chicken and mushroom soup. 86pts
Nice smooth white wine. Floral, white fruit aromas. Creamy texture and good mouth feel.
Liked this even better with some age on it, this wine was medium gold in color. Aromas of apple, honeysuckle, and chamomile. Palate was full of apples, with crisp citrus notes, some herbal nuance. Had with Thanksgiving 07.
Very good white rhone blend. Viognier is evident in the aromas and first sips, which are floral and perfumed. Crisp citrus flavors and a juicy finish. Excellent balance.
Drank this when Marg was away at Corey's shower
Great Sangiovese for the price. Mild and flavorful. Medium bodied, good finish.
very good !

Wine Tasting Notes65% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot BlancBatar reaches its full maturity about 42 months, after harvest. Before maturity, just like its Cousins of Burgundy, the wine may tend to shut down and to appear tight at tasting. Therefore, we strongly advise you not to consume it before it has reached maturity, about 3 and a half to 4 years after harvest, in order to enjoy it at its maximum potential. The maturity plateau is 4 to 12 years after harvest.
The introductory white is the Cote de Tablas Blanc. The 2005, a blend of 42% Viognier, 33% Roussanne, 19% Marsanne, and the rest white Grenache, offers up aromas of honeyed grapefruit, orange rind, tropical fruits, and lemon zest along with a hint of crushed rocks. Medium to full-bodied with surprising dryness as well as intensity, it should be consumed over the next 2-3 years. ** Only 12 in Stock **
A barrel sample of the 2005 Cote de Tablas blanc (42% Viognier 33% Roussanne 19% Marsanne and 6% Grenache Blanc) offers lovely notes of honeysuckle orange peel and other tropical fruits in its medium to full-bodied stylish personality. Robert Parkers Wine Advocate.
