Strawberry and cherry aromas. Flavors carry more strawberries, some cranberry. Good.

Nice berry aroma with some other subtle notes of spice and even something vegetal. Medium body, smooth texture and flavor of tart cherries all the way to the finish. Very nice for $12.

A perfectly average Tuscan wine. A good table wine. I couldn't find any fault with it and enjoyed it but it did not exhibit significantly more character than a straw basket chianti. It's a good buy for the price.

2008 Tablas Creek Rosé (58% Mourvèdre, 32% Grenache, 10% Counoise). Reddish pink color darker than most Rosés; Well balanced, Plum, watermelon, strawberry on nose and palate; fresh, crisp lingering flavors on the finish. Really enjoying this wine, especially on hot day like today. July 19, 2009

This beauty came on the scene back in 1946 as a Chianti Classico. However, in 1984, with the DOCG laws coming into the picture and Chianti requiring a longer oak aging period, Antinori decided to keep his ldquo;Chianti, rdquo; blend it with Merlot and begin a new path. Santa Cristina is 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot. On the nose you will find a very intense jammy bouquet of cranberries, strawberries and plums. In the mouth the fruit is lively and fresh with great acidity, spice and balanced tannins. A great wine for drinking with friends or enjoying with a nice weekend picnic!

Supple and harmonious, with ripe, fleshy plum, black cherry and wild berry fruit that's full-bodied, gaining complexity and ending with a dash of tar, nutmeg and spice. Grenache, Syrah, Counoise and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2016. 2,300 cases made... Wine Spectator. A Proprietary Blend wine from California in USA. 2008 Tablas Creek Cote de Tablas 750ml

The wine has an intense ruby red color. It offers full and complex aromas which recall ripe fruit, plum jam, mint, chocolate, and tobacco. In the mouth, the wine presents itself with good body; it is round, with soft, velvety tannins.90 WA

A berry scented Sangiovese with hints of leather (itrsquo;s a good thing) and spice from under the Tuscan sun.

The Antinori family of Florence, one of the world's oldest and most distinguished wine producers, has lived in Tuscany since the 14th century and celebrated its 614 anniversary as wine makers in 1999. In Florence, the Antinori family has led a "Renaissance" in Italian wine making by combining long traditions, a love of authenticity and a dynamic innovative spirit. That spirit comes through in this 2008 Santa Christina. A modern Tuscan blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot, it has an intense aroma, with hints cherry and pleasant floral notes. On the palate it is well-rounded, harmonious, and rich.
