Antinori Campogrande Orvieto Classico(2005)

A mild winter with temperatures rarely dropping below 0°C. Thanks to sunny, balanced spring weather without rain, foliage developed well and about 2 weeks earlier than the previous year. This made it necessary for normally consecutive vineyard procedures to be carried out simultaneously. July and August were hot but without extreme temperature peaks so the grapes ripened gradually and evenly. The lack of rain during the ripening period resulted in very healthy grapes which had ripened quite early and consequent decrease in quantity.
