A very modern wine with fresh varietal aromas of blackcurrant and cherries, yet still retaining a very Spanish warmth of flavour and good fruit with a touch of spice and good soft tannins. In view of escalating Rioja prices, our Rioja supplier Ondarre has sourced a competitively priced red wine from Castilla, near La Mancha in central Spain. Antina is the result of intense tasting sessions and countless experiments of blending different grape varieties. From the outset, the aim was to produce a wine with an international style, able to satisfy the tastes of wine lovers all over the world. Grapes : 45% Tempranillo, 55% Cabernet Sauvignon Region : Spain / Tierra de Castilla Notes : Bright cherry-red with medium depth of colour and ruby hues around the rim. Aroma: Spice and ripe blackberry fruit with toasted wood in the background. A well-balanced, full and smooth wine with a lingering and fruity finish. Serve : Stews, meat dishes, spanish sausage, lamb and meat pasta dishes ABV : 12.5%
