A fair amount of toasty oak greets the nose along with lots of dried herb character and black currant fruit. This is smooth and fairly opulent in the mouth with a nice base of rather well managed tannins and good acidity that supports lots of plummy and black currant fruit. This turns a bit extracted and bitter on the long finish. This has a certain blend of polish and extraction that will appeal to many but come off clumsily to me. 86pts

A step up from your everyday red, but without a huge jump in price. Notes of coffee and licorice mixed with rich black raspberry and currant flavors. Best with hearty stews or mushroom steaks.
Excellent quality from one of the most consistent wineries in Chile. This is a full-bodied, dark-fruited, earthy red wine with ripe tannins.
An intense, youthful ruby in color, this wine displays lovely scents of black currants and spices. Smooth and complex in the mouth, it shows good fruit and soft tannins and will complement red meat dishes, grilled foods and barbecue. Don't forget to allow this one to breathe for a little while.
The medium to dark ruby-colored 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon displays a nose of creamed black fruits intermingled with roasted herbs. This lovely value has excellent concentration, depth, and packs the taster's mouth with uncomplicated, soft black fruit flavors. Medium-bodied and silky-textured, it is a pretty, expressive wine for drinking over the next 3-4 years.
The 2010 Antiguas Reservas Cabernet Sauvignon has a well-defined, slightly herbaceous bouquet with touches of cured meat, ash and cedar. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, fine acidity and an austere, masculine, saline finish. Drink 2013–2016.
