Food Pairings for Antigal Uno Malbec
Paid $16 for this Malbec. Nice subdued nose with some cherry & burnt spice notes. Opens a little tart, with cherry and raspberry flavors. But this wine has a nice, rough bitterness on the top of the tongue and a long bitter finish, reminiscent of endive, fennel, and the like. Only complaint is it's a bit acidic, which tends to counteract the otherwise well developed flavors. As such, it ends up feeling a little thin despite some really good potential. Maybe it's already spent too long on the shelf?
Great overall wine, works well with beef, pork, and hearty seafoods
Very intense red color with deep violet hues. Intense fruit with significant notes of oak on the nose. The palate is very silky, but concentrated with a balanced and elegant finish.
