Antico Colle Rosso di Montepulciano 2005
" 2005 Monte Antico is a pleasing, harmonious wine. This forward, juicy red offers tons of dark fruit in a generous, inviting style, with notable depth and plumpness. Year after year this is an incredible value from Tuscany, as it is again in 2005. Consulting oenologist Franco Bernabei fashions Monte Antico for importer Neil Empson..." WA 08/08.
RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
This is a really great medium red, if you like chianti you should give this a try. I will definitely be buying this again
For $10, this is a terrific value everyday drinking wine. The blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cab is well balanced, and comparable with more expensive Tuscan wines.
Great wine! Never fails me and goes well with most dishes. it is not a big dominating wine and you don't have to pour too much intellectuality into it. Its a faithful companion that never fails to deliver when just relaxing at home or with friends.
