Editorial Reviews for Antica Terra Pinot Noir Willamette Valley
Smells bizarely medicinal with candied anise seed, arugula, root beer, cola and watermelon but it works! Nicely balanced in the mouth with a natural if slightly fleshy feel. Not a fruit driven style but with excellent depth and persistence and a clean earthy finish. Give this a year for the oak to integrate and then enjoy 2010-2017 92pts
Awesome aromatics with a beefy, black pepper tinged core that is accented by slight cola notes and lovely sweet/savory Burgundian fruit. On entry this seems a bit muddled with it's earthy presentation but quickly sorts itself out as the mid-palate brings together that earthiness with a bit of roast meat juiciness allowing the wild blackberry fruit to pop in all it's organic, herbal tinged glory. Finishes with good length and deep, dark fruit tones set off by a pumpkin pie spice note. Unusual and delicious. 93pts
This opens with a lovely beefy, black peppery nose with a touch of cola and dank, sweet/savory Burgundian berry fruits. A bit muddled on the attack with earth, roast meat and hay notes that yield to beautiful herbal tinged ripe dark cherry and black berry fruits. Finishes with solid length an a bit of pumpkin pie on the end. Not a typical fruit driven Pinot but complex and very well put together. 2009-2015 92pts
User Reviews for Antica Terra Pinot Noir Willamette Valley
Add your reviewwow! quite possibly my all-time favorite pinot noir and the 2008 is antica terra's best vintage yet. i can't recommend highly enough.
RP gave it 92 pts. I disagree. Great nose, but the palate doesn't deliver on what the nose starts. It's a weak pinot, far too mellow for me. Just OK. -Tasted at Marché Bacchus 11/14/09
Very pretty nose, with sweet red cherries and some tobacco, following to the palate. Not released yet (3/9/09 release date), this wine is definitely going to be a winner!
More evolved than the 2007, as it should be. Darker cherry fruit, and much more earth and leather than the tobacco of the 2007. Very tasty!

Bright ruby-red. Pungent aromas of black raspberry, cola, allspice and dried rose. Supple and sweet, with deep red and dark berry flavors complicated by notes of spicecake, vanilla and anise. Gently tannic on the finish, which leaves notes of berr... Stephen Tanzers IWC. A Pinot Noir wine from Oregon in USA. 2009 Antica Terra Pinot Noir 750ml
Willamette Valley, OregonAntica Terra Pinot Noir Willamette Valley is a gorgeous red wine gem from Oregon! Winemaker Maggie Harrison worked at Sine Qua Non from 1998 to 2006. This bottling is the second vintage produced from a 40-acre property the winery purchased in 2005. Antica Terra is one of the best Oregon Pinots weve tasted. Indeed, Jay Miller of Wine Advocate rated it 92 points. It wont remain an undiscovered secret for long!Antica Terra Pinot Noir is dark ruby red in color with an aromatic nose of raspberry, blueberry, cinnamon and smoke. It has medium-full body, bright acidity and rich concentration with a velvety texture and flavors of blackberries, raspberries, vanilla and spices. It will drink beautifully now and over the next 7-9 years. The finish is long, rich and lingering.Enjoy Antica Terra Pinot Noir with roast pork, grilled salmon, ratatouille and aged cheeses.
