Annie's Lane Riesling(2006)

This Riesling is crafted from fruit sourced from vineyards in the Clare Valley in South Australia. These vineyards include the famous Carlsfield and Sevenhill vineyards. Carlsfield vineyard, planted in 1935, produces fruit with intense lime characters whilst the Sevenhill vineyard, planted in 1978, produces fruit with finesse and steely character. The grapes were crushed and drained with only the delicate juice being retained. This juice was then fermented cool after a settling period to retain varietal character and freshness. The resulting 2006 Annie's Lane Riesling is pale read more...straw in color with green hues. The nose shows the classis, elegant characters of Clare Valley Riesling: dried lime rind; citrus; and stone fruit. The palate is tight and elegant, with lime flavors dominating throughout. Impressive length and natural acidity will allow for graceful aging over the next 5 to 8 years.
