Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

The entry level Pinot from the Anne Amie winery located in the Willamette Valley. Purity of Pinot Noir fruit character has been perfectly preserved. Tastes of crushed raspberries and cherries on the palate.

Light and crisp, with firm tannins around a modest core of red cherry and earth flavors, echoing softly. Best from 2011 through 2013.

Light red. Delicate, herb-laced redcurrant and strawberry aromas complicated by a subtle hint of smokiness. Light-bodied, sweet red fruit flavors are lifted by tangy acidity. In a delicate, understated style, with good finishing clarity and persistence. Very pinot and ready to drink.

A pretty nose suggests cherry candy, sandalwood and a whiff of maple syrup. Those pie cherry and baking spice aromas continue in the mouth, with a hint of truffle. Beautifully balanced and blended - nine vineyards contributed.

Winemaker's Notes:

Rich and full, the beautifully translucent ruby color is a fitting prelude to this robust, velvety wine. True to its roots, which are firmly planted in the red volcanic soils of the Dundee Hills, the 2004 La Colina is a luxurious pinot noir from start to finish. Ripe, spicy aromas are laced with bittersweet wild cherries, spices, vanilla and an earthy warmth. Full, exotic fruit dances on the palate with just enough backbone to balance the depth and concentration with a fresh, bright finish. Aging has brought all the aspects of this complex wine into perfect harmony. Drink now and enjoy.
